Riverdale never ceases to amaze us. From a dude named Jughead literally flaying the skin off a person, to biker gangs and teenager strip teases. We eat this shit up. And they’ve done it again with the most recent episode, which was a musical, about putting on a musical. Carrie the Musical to be precise. Which is a real-ass thing, unbeknownst to us. It was so weird and wild but we totally loved it and are literally begging the writers on Twitter to do even more.

That episode inspired us to rewatch to original Carrie, which is weird AF in its own right. Made in 1976, Carrie kind of embodies that 70’s horror vibe even though most of the movie is really about the horrors of bullying, and not about the horrors of literally burning all your “friends” alive in the school gym. Neither of us are huge fans of the movie, but we appreciate it for what it is. We didn’t stop there though.

There was of course a sequel called The Rage: Carrie 2, title and subtitle swapped inexplicably. And there was a remake made in 2013 starring Chloe Grace Moretz. In this episode, spurred on by our love for Riverdale, we break down the weird stuff we liked and didn’t like about all of these movies. And have a little chat about bush while we’re at it. You heard us. So relax with us and enjoy as we dismantle a beloved horror movie from the 70s!
