So we watched some TV this week y’all. I mean, we ALWAYS watch some TV, but we really did this week. Aidy Bryant’s new show Shrill launched on Hulu, Netflix dropped Queer Eye season 3, and we finally started watching Drag Race.
Shrill is the true story of an overweight woman and the bullshit she deals with on a daily basis with work, love, and friends. And as you may have guessed since Aidy is involved, it’s very funny and sweet. We loved it. We moved from there to Queer Eye. Really there’s not much to say that we didn’t say the last time we talked about it. It makes us feel warm and fuzzy and we like that shit.
Drag Race is a weird animal. Neither of us really like reality shows and Drag Race in particular seems from the outside kind of mean-spirited and catty. Well, we’re happy to have been wrong. Sure there’s some cattiness in there, but at its core there’s much more to it and we’re glad our friends finally pressured us enough to watch it.
This episode is stuffed to the gils, and on top of all the TV, Wil really wants you to listen to the new Sofi Tukker jam called Fantasy. We have a lot of fun talking about all this stuff since we liked all of it! So get your happy hats on and join us for today’s episode of So…I’m Watching This Show!
