Now that we’re winding down into the final episodes of The Magicians forever, everything feels a little more bittersweet. That makes it nice when we get certain characters back like Marina earlier in the season and both Benedict the mapmaker and Penny 40 in tonight’s episode. With Eliot and Julia still in Fillorian prison and Red Monkey Month putting Julia firmly in her third trimester they had to ramp up Julia’s anxiety so her half traveler baby could get them out of that jam. Meanwhile Josh was in the taker’s realm which has unhelpfully been connected to both the real world and the Underworld and Penny 23 and Plum encounter another time traveler who they have to outsmart (pretty easily). Everyone winds up back at the loft and we’re winding down into the final three episodes. *sob*
