Our month-long rest period has come to an end and we MISSED YOU GUYS! In that time we didn’t exactly get everything done we wanted to. We’ve made some moves as far as rebranding the show and getting some new music, but those things take time. That wasn’t the only hang up though. Wil’s grandmother passed away, which obviously tied him up a bit both mentally and physically. Not only that but there was a COVID scare in the group. And finally Kristin and husband/editor went through most of the process of buying a new home which is more taxing than you might think. So on top of everything else happening in the world, overall just not as restful as we were hoping.
The good news though is that we’re back on schedule! And we were able to start doing video recaps over on TVCO about Riverdale. Due to technical issues on their end we only did a few episodes of season one before we had to switch to season two. They are up there though and if you can’t get enough of us you can find more over there.
As mentioned, today we’re talking about the CLASSIC 1996 Roland Emmerich alien disaster movie, Independence Day. The movie is 24-years-old and has been WELL explored. So if you’re here for brand new takes, you might be disappointed. But we had fun with it. Wil had to completely rework his thoughts because for some crazy reason he had it in his head that he didn’t like it. And after he wound up really not liking Day After Tomorrow, he was pretty sure Emmerich just isn’t for him. He was wrong though. He totally loved it and even called it a perfect movie. Kristin on the other hand has always loved it. Now that she’s older, she’s even realizing how much of a babe Jeff Goldblum is in Independence Day.
What do you think of Independence Day? Let us know over on Twitter where we’re as active as ever! But be warned, if you aren’t into it, you might get an earful and loud “EXPLAIN YOURSELF!” Everyone should love this movie. It’s the epitome of 90’s action and fun. We’re so happy to have you back with us for today’s episode of So…I’m Watching This Show!
