Disney has a long history of turning their rides into movies, to varying degrees of success. The first one this humble editor/husband remembers is Tower of Terror starring the Gute and Kirsten Dunst. I loved it as a kid so it makes sense that they keep capitalizing on these IP they own. Plus, now they own the Muppets so they might as well use them. Thus, Muppets Haunted Mansion was formed!

We all love the Muppets around here. It has been out Thanksgiving podcast tradition to watch an older movie and chat about it. We’ll keep that tradition going next month, but Haunted Mansion dropped for Halloween so we’re chatting about it now! And we liked it a lot, thankfully. Muppets Haunted Mansion really hit Kristin exactly right with how silly it is. Wil was a bit less enthused but still enjoyed it. The Muppets sometimes work better for adults but this one for sure targeted the young audience. It was fun nonetheless, just less melancholy than some of their movies have been.

What do you think though? Is Muppets Haunted Mansion an instant classic, or could you take it or leave it? Let us know over on Twitter or in the YouTube comments! We love the Muppets so come on over and chat with us about them! Plus, we’re rapidly approaching 1,500 subscribers on YT so if you haven’t yet, please come Like and Subscribe! For now though, settle in for today’s spooky Kleenex ghost-filled episode of So…I’m Watching This Show!
