Penny Dreadful: City of Angels continues to be an enigma wrapped in a riddle.

NOW we’re going full steam ahead on Penny Dreadful! Josefina and the Holy Spirit was a jam packed episode that finally started getting somewhere!

Well that was a bit of an upturn! We’re not going full steam ahead yet, but episode three “Wicked Old World” was a lot more active, even as it continued it’s slow pace.

We are enjoying Penny Dreadful: City of Angels and it does feel like a spiritual cousin to the OG Penny Dreadful, but it’s also so vastly different.

The OG Penny Dreadful was one of our favorite shows of the last decade, and probably all time! So we were excited when we heard it was returning!
